Doctor B.J. Parsons:
Raised in Lyndonville , NY , BJ knew she wanted to be a vet from a very early age. She graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1975 from Oglethorpe University in Atlanta , GA. Veterinary School soon followed at the University of Georgia in Athens . After graduating in 1981, she worked in Charlotte , NC for two years before moving to Hendersonville and acquiring Kanuga Animal Clinic in 1985.
Raising and showing English Setters is her passion and she has been doing it since 1978. She also has performance paint horses. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Society for Theriogenology, the English Setter Association of America, the Hendersonville Kennel Club, the Central Carolina English Setter Club, the Atlanta English Setter Association, the American Paint Horse Association, the American Quarter Horse Association, and the National Cutting Horse Association. She and her husband Burt have two children Kristen and Spencer who are both in college.

Jessica Nuñez:
Jessica is a junior at Hendersonville High School and plays basketball. She adores animals and she thinks that she may want to be a veterinarian some day. Her favorite thing to do is ‘drinking piña coladas while getting caught in the rain.’ |

Debra Stephens:
Hailing from England, Debs has been a vet tech for about 20 years. She worked at Kanuga Animal Clinic for about 7 years before returning to England for a year. She then returned stateside where she worked in a Columbus, NC veterinary practice. She returned to us in April of this year. She is married to a perennial Peter Pan and has a Jack Russell Terrier at home as well as a few cats. |

Kristen Mooney:
Kristen, daughter of Dr. Parsons, is currently a senior attending Western Carolina University for a degree in Business Management. Kristen is doing a Co-op with us in the position of practice manager while receiving school credit towards her degree. In her spare time she shows dogs, breeds English Setters, and rides horses. |

Spencer Mooney:
Spencer, the son of Dr. Parsons, is currently in his second year at Georgia Tech and majoring in Computer Science but is considering a change to veterinary medicine. Due to the consideration of the change in majors he has decided to explore the field of veterinary medicine by working here over the summer. In his spare time, Spencer can usually be found on the closest soccer field. |

Susan Cooper:
Susan is a Cocker Spaniel breeder and exhibitor, who aspires to being an AKC dog show judge one day. She has been a client of this clinic for several years. She has recently found employment here as a part-time receptionist. |

Nancy Day:
Having always loved animals, and having previously worked in the medical field, it was only a matter of time before she combined the two to find the perfect job. Many know her best friend Pepe, the plump Chihuahua that cuddles with Skeeter, our office cat, from the front desk where Nancy spends most of her time. She also has two grown children. She and her husband Ron live in Edneyville. |
